LEARNING PROCESS
Our learners will work in a collaborative group of mixed aged learners. Our flexible approach challenges each child with their own differentiated learning plan and inspires them through real-world projects and experiences. Our center puts the children at the center of their learning, allowing them to create and achieve personal goals. Families are provided opportunities to grow together.
-
Obtain the core academic skills of reading, writing, and basic math using real world applications. With these skills, children will have the tools to move forward at their own pace and enhance these skills by going as far and as fast in these subjects as they wish.
-
Throughout the year, we will complete numerous hands-on projects that practice skills needed to solve real-world problems. Furthermore, they will gain powerful insight and experience through exposure to many different career paths along the way.
-
We will hold daily Socratic discussions over a wide range of topics which promote strong critical thinking, communication, and speaking skills. Rather than telling children what to think, we show them how to think through different opportunities.
-
Leadership in the community is a key focus on our campus. We don't just show the children what it means to be educated, we also show them what it means to give back and how to use their education to help others in the community and around the world.
-
Every year our campus will participate in our Business Bazaar. Each child will create a product or service. They will then learn and participates in the steps involved to bring it to market.
-
Real physical health and education is a daily priority on our campus. Younger children will have opportunities for physical play and movement while the older children will start to learn and practice workouts of various kinds. All children will learn about their physiology and how to use it to their advantage.
-
Too many students leave school not having a clue about themselves or what they would like to do in this world. Children will explore different jobs and responsibilities on campus. Older children will get to explore off-campus internships and apprenticeships.
-
Parents will be provided opportunities to take part in personal development courses.
-
Volunteers play a vital role in empowering individuals through enrichment classes focused on essential life skills. These dedicated instructors offer hands-on lessons in life skills such as cooking, gardening, and home management, fostering personal growth and self-sufficiency. Participants learn practical skills that enhance daily living while building confidence and community connections.
